THEME PARK INFORMATION

FLORIDA
Florida is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and is known as the ‘The Sunshine State' with visitors heading in search of fun, sun and thrills. Florida, of course, is known for many things: the Everglades; the sun, sand, and surf that make up Florida's 1500 kilometers of beaches; the Florida Keys; South Beach . . But there is much more to Florida, discover winding waterways, freshwater lakes, hills, forests, exciting cities and the state's rich history that is reflected in museums, monuments, forts and homes throughout the state.
Central Florida is dominated by the Theme Parks:
The resort features four theme parks -- Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Epcot and Disney-MGM Studios as well as on-site restaurants, water parks, nightlife and shopping at the Downtown Disney Area and also Disney's BoardWalk.
THE MAGIC KINGDOM park is reached by a monorail ride or a ferry boat cruise. The park provides fun and fantasy for everyone from the young to the 'young at heart! In Magic Kingdom Theme Park, storybook fantasy is everyday reality, and Disney classics are brought to life through attractions such as Cinderella Castle, Pirates of the Caribbean, "It's A Small World," The Hall of Presidents and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.
DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM features various wildlife exhibits and encounters including Kilimanjaro Safaris® where animals from Africa freely roam through acres of savannah, rivers, and rocky hills.
At EPCOT, you can touch the future and travel the world with an amazing array of attractions and live performances.
DISNEY-MGM STUDIOS takes you behind the scenes in the worlds of movies, music and television.
TYPHOON LAGOON has a tropical setting with water slides, white water rafts, high speed slides and the world's largest wave pool which all goes to make this the ultimate water adventure.
BLIZZARD BEACH is Disney's "winter wonderland" water park - where the Swiss Alps meets Florida sunshine. Features 'icy' slaloms, bobsled and the world's tallest "ski-jump" at 120ft. Also white water rafting, flumes, tube runs and water slides.
SEAWORLD (www.seaworld.com) You will experience more than 200 acres of the most unique shows, rides and animal encounters in Orlando. Exciting thrill rides and hands-on, up-close marine animal encounters allow you to learn about some of the inhabitants of our oceans. The park features over 20 shows, attractions and exhibits, with whales, dolphins, sharks and seals.
DISCOVERY COVE (www.discoverycove.com) An island oasis located across the street from SeaWorld, Discovery Cove is a park that will bring you closer to marine life than ever before.
In a lush tropical setting with thatch-roof huts, cabanas and white sandy beaches, you can swim, play and interact with marine animals, such as dolphins and rays. You can snorkel through coral reefs, play under magnificent waterfalls, float in blue lagoons and relax on lovely sandy beaches. This is an all-inclusive package that covers reserved dolphin swim, unlimited access to the Coral Reef, Sting Ray Lagoon, Tropical River, Resort-style Pool and the Free-flight Aviary. A meal is included as well as snorkel gear, towels and lockers. Drinks and snacks are not included. Visitors of all ages are welcome to play on the beach and swim in the rivers and lagoons, but there is a minimum age of 6 years to join the Dolphin programme.
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS The No.1 Movie Studio and Theme park in the World. thelargest working film and television production studio outside Hollywood, with well over 75 years of movie experience and 40 incredible rides, shows, movie sets and attractions. Here you can roam glamorous streets like Hollywood Boulevard, Fifth Avenue or Rodeo Drive and explore fabulous sets like San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf. You can go behind the scenes; watch real filming, see celebrity stars in production on next year's television programmes or movies. Experience Twister and ride blockbuster movies like King Kong, Earthquake, E.T. and Back To The Future.
ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE (www.universalstudios.com) Even Spielberg and Universal Orlando have combined to create the most thrilling rides and attractions ever produced at this most technologically-advanced theme park. Islands of Adventure features five uniquely themed islands, including The Lost Continent, Toon Lagoon, Seuss Landing, Marvel Super Hero Island and Jurassic Park. Discover timeless stories, myths and legends as you journey through them, where you will see well-known characters such as Popeye, Cat in the Hat, Spiderman, and the Incredible Hulk. For the ultimate in thrill rides you will not be disappointed when you ride the Duelling Dragons. This is actually two separate and intertwined roller coasters in which you speed towards each other at amazing speed and then veers off right before impact!!
KENNEDY SPACE CENTRE (www.kennedyspacecenter.com) The home of America's space programme, where America's space exploration comes to life for you. Neil Armstrong departed from here to become the first person to step onto the Moon, where Space Shuttles lift off throughout the year, and where all tomorrow's space adventures will begin. Kennedy Space Centre features a variety of shows, exhibits and tours that are both interesting and informative. There are guided bus tours, which last about 2 hours and depart continuously throughout the day on air-conditioned buses featuring taped/live narration and also include camera stops. It's the past, present and future packed into one exciting day of history and entertainment!
BUSCH GARDENS, TAMPA (www.buschgardens.com) The sights and sounds of Africa! Exotic civilizations come alive as you travel through Busch Gardens' authentically recreated African villages. This 300-acre African theme park will treat you to a memorable daylong safari. Over 3,400 animals live within the lush tropical landscapes, cascading waterfalls and the rolling plains, making Busch Gardens one of the nation's premier zoos. You can board the Trans-Veldt Railroad, and follow the migrating herds of the Serengeti Plain, or try the sky ride or air-conditioned monorail to enjoy sweeping aerial views of the park and wild animals in natural surroundings. You'll see herds of zebra, giraffes, impala, buffalo and elephants. Gorillas and chimpanzees can be seen in their natural environments, there are animals.
